Unless you own a pot farm in WA or CO. Then maybe.
You're also being too generous. If someone wants to give you a Veyron, you should hold out for all expenses as well.
Also, if someone is giving you a Veyron, you should marry them. Man or woman, doesn't matter; gold-digging is gender-neutral.

While the joke did go over their heads, I'd consider the offer.
How many times would you need tires in 5 years? Also, does the Veyron need the special tires for daily or light track use?

The Veyron only needs the special tires for track/top speed runs. Ditto with the rims.
There is nothing stopping you from getting a set of forged rims and 'regular' tires for daily use where you can probably assure yourself that you wouldn't be violating the speed limit. Thus lowering costs.
This is what makes me feel worse, because people didn't pick up on that. I was being half pedantic/half serious. Cause its feasible.

Well, they were missing many things.
First of all, it wouldn't be totally unreasonable for someone to take a Veyron and give it tires, since it doesn't need special tires.
Secondly, it's not like it needs tires right away, so why not take one?
Thirdly, they assumed you couldn't afford $50,000 tires. Not that you or I could, but it's not that much to spend on a $2.3 million car you were given for free.
